Note: Songs with an * contain
vocals
1. Undulations
is a multi-section song, the first section contains organ
accompaniment,
with relatively straight rock
drums and fast guitar parts, the second part has synthesized guitar
with a little more driving drums
and organ flourishes, the third section uses techno based percussion,
with fast harmony guitar (that is
the guitar sound is composed of the root note,
one part at a higher pitch than
the root and one part at a lower pitch than the root)
2. Eastern n
Western Synthesis contains melodic percussion from the Eastern
part of the world
with Japanese
percussion and distorted wah-wah guitar played at a
relatively fast pace.
I suppose that this
could be classified as World Music since it fuses Eastern and Western
instrumentation.
3. Unleashed
contains fast guitar with frequent two-hand tapping complemented with
driving
rockish
drums and organ that is also played relatively fast,
but there are frequent tempo changes.
It is perhaps the most
straightforward song on the album. The
piece ends quite abruptly.
4. Andromeda
is a spacey type song named for the galaxy that is closest to ours, the
Milky Way
It contains melodic
percussion sounds that have frequent pitch changes, the second section
is more
frantic/aggressive, with fast synthesized guitar and some synthesized
sounds.
5. Environmental Disturbances is
partially auto-biographical about my difficulty working in a typical
office/corporate environment. There are
acoustic
drum sounds that are played in free time and the
guitar is played relatively slowly and is distorted at first.
The songs proceeds to include
electronic drum sounds with
faster harmony and synthesized guitar.
The final section
contains various delay effects on my vocals and chaotic electronic
percussion sounds.
The lyrics to this song were
improvised.
6. March of the Insane is a modern
classical piece that utilizes piano with strings,
orchestral and
melodic percussion, begins relatively calm and
mellow, contains some
pitch shifting with
the piano/strings, progresses to more
frenetic and aggressive playing and
concludes with sustained
piano/strings.
7. Quarkoids
uses electronic percussion sounds with synthesized guitar sounds and is
kind of hard space
music, for lack of a better term, the
second section is slightly calmer/mellow.
The final section
uses electronic and acoustic drum sounds with fast distorted guitar and
is more
aggressive than the previous
section interspersed with calmer parts
FYI, Quarks are
subatomic particles.
8. Kinetic
Splat is hard space music with electronic percussion sounds that
frequently change pitch
with fast harmony
guitar that also changes tempo frequently.
9. Realization
of Oneself
is a four section vocal song, the lyrics for the first three parts were
written,
the last part was improvised. The music for the first section
contains rockish drums
and
distorted guitar, the second section
contains techno based percussion with harmony guitar,
the
third section
is more spacey with the first two lines delayed, it also contains fast
organ parts
and
electronic percussion sounds with delay/reverb effects
and the guitar uses ring modulation,
which
gives it a very
spacey/otherworldly texture. The fourth and final section
contains fast
distorted/wah-wah guitar with some two-handed
tapping,
electronic/synthesized percussion sounds.
The
sound concludes in a
frenzy of guitar, percussion and vocals.
The lyrics
could be about any number of things: a person that is delusional,
under the influence of any number of substances, having a
nightmare/very weird dream,
has an
extrememly vivid imagination or something else altogether, the listener
decides.
10. Amniotic is a spacey piece that calm
synthesized string sounds with orchestral and melodic percussion
and
fast harmony/wah-wah guitar that progresses
to pitch-shifted harmony guitar with some two-hand
tapping,
the piece becomes darker with some extreme volume swells towards its
conclusion.
11. Indoelectrolysticity
uses gamelean percussion (Indonesian), synthesizer sounds that are
swirling
and somewhat cacophonic along
with
melodic and more rockish percussion that changes tempo,
time signature,
key frequently
12. Post Gravitational Force
is a modern classical piece that contains piano with string sounds
played
slowly with some mellow
guitar. 13. Cosmosism
is pure space music with guitar that uses volume swells and played at a
slow tempo along
with very
spacey synthesizer
sounds. It is a fairly calm, relaxing piece of music.
14. Aspergers
is an avant guarde/experimental piece that begins with vocal
gibberish in normal speed, then
it is played at half speed, then normal speed, and from there
i say various things
that are all delayed
the instrumentation consists of various electronic
percussion effects and
synthesized sounds. There is no guitar
on this piece. At one point i play my drum sticks on various
parts
of my
keyboard (though not the keys). I frequently hold notes for as
long as i can and go from low to
high and vice versa.
In essence this is a very weird piece.
15. Novatron
is a space music piece of a dark character that uses alien-like sounds
on the guitar with
foreboding
synthesizer sounds and percussion.
